Of dogs, a new protest gimmick, a three-day fire

I owe a lot posts to this blog already as I have been asleep in the last few days. But then I was awake to see these:

First off, the Azkals made it to top 3 of the AFC Challenge Cup, 4-3 versus Palestine. But what trended more were the accusations they had faced when they allegedly harassed the daughter of former president Ramos. Still, they too had been dragged into controversy when broadcast personality Arnold Clavio supposedly questioned the Filipino-ness of some team members. And Angel Locsin came to defend. So supportive, indeed.

Next, Noynoying is becoming a fad especially for militant groups who are expressing their angsts and disappointment towards PNoy’s lack of action against the unstoppable oil price hike, aggravated by the EVAT.

Months ago, it was planking that became a protest gimmick; now we have a very cleverly original Noynoying. Filipinos are creative, no questions.
Thirdly, a three-day fire. Can you believe that? The ever Gotesco Grand Central Mall was on fire for three days. Sadly, the firemen seemingly do not know what to do to keep the fire out. The Caloocan mayor was allegedly missing in action for three days. The head of the fire department was allegedly drunk when they responded to the incident. And, the building was allegedly (again) burnt on motive to free its owners of tax obligations amounting to millions! Now, that should create a lot of fire. After all, when there’s smoke, there’s fire.

And oops, Charice sports a new ‘do –– a Final Fantasy-inspired, tomboyish hair far from her long locks. She looks rather shorter and heavier with it, ‘nuff said.
Here’s more: Pacquiao is running as governor. He is also gonna be a pastor in the next few years. From the ring to the house to the stage to the church, whoah! I say too much.

I am happy to be Filipino because it IS more fun in the Philippines. I know right.

why one should not cover his ears?

The impeachment is in a hiatus.

Meanwhile, the net is buzzing over Vitaliano Aguirre of the Prosecution team who was cited in contempt, after (sounds funny) covering his ears while the feisty Senator judge Miriam Santiago was giving the "gago" (to borrow Santiago's term) prosecution team a heavy tongue-lashing and lecture on law.

It seems, the veteran lawyer did not want to hear any of Santiago's words.

Unfortunately, everyone was all eyes to Aguirre.

The bottomline: Respect is two-way. We can meet half-way.
